Koyaanisqatsi Bristol Redux
15:00 An attempt to emulate the unique experience that is 'koyaanisqatsi'. The original comments on our impact on our environment with stunning cinematography from around the world by Geoffrey Regio to a haunting soundtrack by Philip Glass. I shot this around Bristol over a period of about a month and edited it to some of the music from the original. An attempt at film-making that is either commendably ambitious or farcical? Much of the footage has been laboriously processed in an attempt to work around the limitations of the DV format. A film I will remake when I can afford that cine-alta camera. Hmmm. The final shot over Bristol was 1.5 hours in real time. |
